District identifies site for new Transportation Center

At its workshop on February 13, the Ector County ISD Board of Trustees authorized the negotiation of a contract for two pieces of property for the new Transportation Center approved by voters as part of Bond 2023.

The property is located at 5308 Andrews Highway, just north of the intersection with 52nd Street, and sits adjacent to ECISD’s instructional materials warehouse. It is 21 acres (about triple the size of the current bus barn and lot) and has an existing office building and warehouse. The location has easy access to main roads.

The district will keep and maintain the existing bus barn on W. 10th Street as a satellite location.
